Turkmenistan e-Visa

Through the tour operator that invites you, which is us. We file your application on the official eVISA portal of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan (evisa.migration.gov.tm). Your part is simple: book a tour, send us your passport scan, photo and application form, then pay the visa fee by card using the link you receive by email. We send you the e-Visa as soon as it is issued.

No. As of October 2026, a separate Letter of Invitation (LOI) is no longer needed: we apply for your e-Visa directly on the official eVISA portal. If a website still says you need an LOI first, that information is out of date.

No. Identity verification, such as a selfie or passport check, has been dropped. After we submit your application, you receive a payment link by email, pay the fee by card, and that's it. Some websites still describe the old verification step, but it no longer exists.

No. The application is filed by the inviting party, a licensed Turkmen tour operator, for a specific trip, so the e-Visa isn't available without a tour. We arrange it for everyone who travels with us, on private and group tours alike, and our visa support is included in the tour price.

Yes. We arrange the e-Visa for group tour participants too. Each traveler needs their own passport scan, photo and application form, and your manager will tell you the easiest way to collect the documents for your group.

A standard e-Visa takes 9 business days and an express e-Visa takes 5. Only business days count, so in calendar terms that's about two weeks for a standard visa and about one week for an express one. If your trip is coming up soon, ask your manager about the express option.

A standard e-Visa costs $40 for a single entry and $60 for a double entry. An express e-Visa costs $80 for a single entry and $120 for a double entry. This is the visa fee itself, which you pay directly by card. Our visa support is included in the tour price.

By card, using a payment link. Once we submit your application, the link is sent to your email and you pay the fee directly. Don't put it off: pay as soon as the link arrives so your application keeps moving.

No. The fee is not refunded if the visa is refused. That's why we check every document before we submit it: the passport scan, the photo and the application form. Fixing a mistake beforehand costs nothing, while a refusal costs you the whole fee.

Nothing extra: our visa support is included in the price of your tour. We check your documents, file the application and send you the finished visa. You only pay the visa fee itself, from $40, directly by card.

You can send them as early as 6 months before your trip and no later than 3 weeks before it. Three weeks gives enough time for processing and, if needed, for replacing a document. Sending your documents early is the safest option.

Three: a scan of your passport photo page, a recent passport-style photo and our application form. You can download the form on this page, with no sign-up or email address required. Send all three to your manager by email or messaging app; there is nothing to upload on the website.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Send a color scan or sharp photo of the whole photo page with both lines at the bottom readable. The photo must be recent (taken within 6 months), on a plain light background, with a neutral expression and no glasses or headwear.

The payment link is sent to your email. If the address has a typo, the link won't reach you and your application will be on hold, so please double-check it. Use an address you check regularly, and look in your spam folder if the email doesn't arrive.

A single-entry visa is enough if you enter Turkmenistan once. Choose a double-entry visa if you leave and come back during your trip, for example to visit Uzbekistan in between. We will help you choose based on your route.

It is valid for the travel dates we state in your application. You can't enter before the first date or stay past the last one, so please confirm your dates with your manager before we submit.

Yes, we recommend it. At the border, you show your passport and a printed copy of your e-Visa. Keep a copy on your phone as well so you always have it at hand.

Yes. The e-Visa is valid for entry both by air and overland, for example from Uzbekistan. We plan the border crossings together with your route. If you leave Turkmenistan and come back during the trip, you will need a double-entry visa.
